Hello again,
I am confused as to how to customize the titles of the page menu names. Do I do this through the widgets? Or is there a simpler way to change the title names & delete the excess sub menu pages that we don't need?

    Hello,

    You can easily customize the page menu names, also remove the excess sub-menu items. For this you need to go to Admin > Appearance > Menus and select the menu that you want to edit in Select a menu to edit dropdown list. Then just click on the menu items and rename the title in Navigation Label box. 

    To remove extra pages just click on the menu item you want to remove and click on delete button. See screenshot on link given below:
